Waste not, want not

Alternature have joined 'Tom Raffield' of The Old Grammar School in putting our waste materials to good use. Our Oak chippings are collected up and taken to 'Cornish Cuisine' in Penryn, Cornwall, where they are used to smoke local fish.Now, almost nothing goes to waste when we make our products. This is of course good for the environment and as a bonus we get some fresh fish in exchange!

Krowji Open Evening

Alternature will be at the 'Krowji Open Evening' alongside other artists and designers from the Old Grammar School. A vast array of work will be on show (including a few Alternature products) and you can enjoy it all with a free glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. Famouth Real Ale Festival

Alternature sponsored a barrel of Ale for the Falmouth Real Ale Festival. We enjoyed a weekend of great beer and great company. You may have seen us mentioned by the Church End barrel. If you missed the festival this year, be sure to come find us there next year.

Heartlands Project

Heartlands is a project based in Pool. The area is to be developed into an eco-friendly complex of studios, shops and facilities to benefit the community and local artists. Alternature helped for the day by creating an installation to help visualise what one of these studios might look like. Local people, architects, students and designers all spent the day with us discussing what the site would be like and what issues may arrise. Our installation was a great success and the project looks to be a promising one.
